Maddy's parents were apprehensive about bringing her outside for the photo session, so we were planning on doing a studio session in their garage, so I brought all the strobes to set up.  Luckily the weather was great (never hurts to live in San Diego), so we decided to give it a go outside.  We strolled down to the park across from their house and had a blast.  Maddy was so calm and just chilled on her pillow and blankie.  She was an awesome model!!!

Porter is walking now!!! We went to a local pumpkin patch for his 18 month session since its Halloween time and had a blast with the pumpkins and straw.  Since his last portrait session at 1 year, he's already grown so much...I can't wait to see him in another 6 months for his 2 year old session!

Jeff and Satomi held their wedding ceremony at the glorious Mormom Temple in La Jolla.  The majestic white ediface contrasted beautifully with the blue sky and green grass.  Later in the evening, we were blessed with a fireworks display that just so happened to coincide with their reception, it was a perfect way to end a perfect wedding day.

Frank and Trish's wedding was a casual affair held in Frank's parent's backyard that was a blast.  They had home-brews flowing from the tap and snow-cones a-plenty.  Here are some preview proofs and we hope you enjoy!

Hey there incoming seniors!  Hopefully you've been enjoying your summer and lounging around doing absolutely nothing! We're running our annual senior portrait special.  It includes 1 1/2 hour session with unlimited outfits in that timeframe.  We'll shoot on location, your choice or ours.

The session fee is $99, this includes 24 wallets as well as your proofs on a CD in web-ready size for your to post on your Facebook or Myspace page or just to email to friends/family.

Once we met Jeff and Satomi, we couldn't wait for their e-session and the chance to work with these two. They're so funny and so beautiful. We met up with them last week and drove Downtown. There were so many spots to shoot at, we could have literally spent the entire session on just one city block.

Luckily the wedding isn't too far off, so we'll get to see these two again shortly...enjoy!

After what seemed like forever, the two of them finally threw an engagement party to celebrate with friends and family.  The place looked fabulous; Dana (the former caterer) did an amazing job decorating the place.  The table settings and decorations were absolutely gorgeous.

Here are some images from lil' Porter's 1 year portrait session.  He was a trooper for sticking through with the session even though the weather was gloomy and yucky.  We still had fun even though the weather didn't cooperate.

We're running another pair of mini-sessions this month.  On Wednesday, June 17th from 2-5pm and on Saturday, June 20th from 9am-12pm.  The Wed session will be at La Jolla Cove and the Sat session will be at Balboa Park.  All mini-sessions will be 30 minutes and cost $50.

We'll be holding a couple mini-sessions this month.  (These mini-sessions are a great way to enter your child in the Baby & Child Portrait Contest, see previous blog post for info on the contest.)

Mini-session #1: Wed, April 22 @ Balboa Park. Time slots at 2:00pm, 2:30, 3:00, 3:30, 4:00 & 4:30pm.

Mini-session #2: Sat, April 25 @ La Jolla Cove.  Time slots at 9:00am, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00 & 11:30am.

Each mini-session will last 30 min and each session fee will be $50.  You'll receive a complimentary 5x7 with your session fee.  To reserve a time slot, please contact us ASAP (email preferred).  Full payment ($50) will be required to reserve the time slot.

FAQs

What is a mini-session?

Mini-sessions are just what they sound like: short, "mini" sessions where the location, date/time, duration are chosen ahead of time for you.

Why do a mini-session instead of a regular one?

Mini-sessions are sort of like a grab-n-go sandwich, whereas a regular session is more like a made-to-order one.  Mini-sessions have the date/time, location and session duration all determined ahead of time, you just have to show up and that's it.  Regular sessions allow clients the flexibility and the options to customize their session in any manner that they choose.  There is usually a cost difference with the mini-session being the more affordable option.

We met up with the T family a few weeks back in Balboa Park.  We picked a Sunday that happened to be super-crazy with all sorts of people everywhere.  We were supposed to meet up at the Organ Pavillion, but there was a concert there, so we met up by the fountain.

Anyways, it was a blast to shoot the family and the best shots actually came from when they were just all standing around being themselves.  Enjoy!
